Requirements
- At minimum, an Associate's degree in Accounting, Bookkeeping, Finance, or similar field
- An equivalent combination of education, training, and experience can be substituted
- 2-3 years of relevant, hands-on accounting experience
- Proficient to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications, including Excel
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work independently on assigned duties
- Demonstrates an ability to manage a variety of priorities while meeting deadlines
- Background in US GAAP
Responsibilities
- Review, process, gather, and compile accounting transactions and documents for completeness, accuracy, and compliance
- Be responsible for bookkeeping management and tracking of responsibilities and tasks monthly, quarterly, and annually
- Assist with preparation of financial and statistical statements and reports
- Provide bookkeeping services for multiple businesses
- Assist with tax document management and organization
- Respond to accounting inquiries and simple questions from clients
- Manage calendar for accounting responsibilities
- Attend virtual periodic meetings with clients
- Respond timely to clients, vendors, and employees to research and resolve discrepancies
- Record, enter, and pay invoices
- Review, process, gather, and compile accounting transactions and documents for completeness, accuracy, and compliance
