Accounting Associate

Summary

Join Trustly's finance team as an Accounting Analyst and support various core accounting functions, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in daily operations. You will process accounts payable invoices, employee expense reports, and reconcile transactions. Responsibilities include cash applications, bank statement reconciliation, vendor communication, and maintaining accurate records. You will prepare journal entries, perform account reconciliations, and assist with month-end close activities. This role requires a degree in Accounting, proficiency in Microsoft Excel, and experience in accounting/finance. Requirements

• Degree in Accounting or similar
• Proficient with Microsoft Excel
• Experience in accounting / finance area
• English language: advanced/fluent

Responsibilities

• Process accounts payable invoices
• Process and verify employee expense reports
• Reconcile corporate credit card transactions
• Perform daily cash applications and reconcile bank statements
• Respond to vendor inquiries regarding invoices and payments
• Maintain accurate vendor records, proper documentation and compliance with internal controls
• Prepare and post accurate journal entries
• Perform account reconciliations
• Prepare and reconcile intercompany transactions, ensuring accurate balances and timely settlement
• Assist with month-end close activities, including preparing schedules and supporting documentation
• Monitor operational expenses, identify variances, and provide supporting analysis to management
• Provide accurate financial information and support to internal departments as requested

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Netsuite is a plus
• Knowledge of US GAAP and IFRS is a plus
