Requirements
- Must have Broker Dealer experience
- A Bachelorโs degree in accounting, or a Bachelorโs degree in business with emphasis in accounting, is required
- Degree(s) must be from a credible college or university
- Must be extraordinarily detailed oriented
- Must be highly skilled in use of Excel Spreadsheets
- Must be skilled in use of MS Word and must be a very good writer in order to handle the occasional administrative needs of the department
- Must have very good verbal skills
- Must have excellent work habits, including a willingness to work the hours necessary to get the job done, especially when important deadlines cause greater than normal departmental pressures
- A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in accounting is required
- Experience within the financial services industry and specifically with broker-dealers is required
Responsibilities
- Manage the monthly revenue close processes to ensure that revenue is recognized in accordance with ASC 606 and the Company's revenue recognition policies
- Review and reconcile accruals, reversals, invoicing schedules, and account reconciliations to support balances and activity
- Review of commission calculations and accruals
- Manage all account receivable collections and delinquent accounts
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure that intercompany transactions are appropriately accounted for
- Assist with the timely execution and review of month-end close activities, including, but not limited to deal review, account reconciliation, analysis, and reporting
- Participate in the month-end close process, expand and improve policies and procedures for monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes
- Support Salesforce and NetSuite financial system integration and enhancement projects, as required
- Assist with onboarding of new acquisitions into our accounting systems and processes
- Additional projects and duties as assigned
- Provides timely and positive customer service by phone and e-mail, with advisors, payors or clients regarding payments issues or discrepancies
- Responds promptly to advisor requests
- Resolve questions where possible or submit to another team member for escalation as needed
- Focus on 100% advisor satisfaction
Preferred Qualifications
- NetSuite experience is strongly preferred
- Software familiarity with Salesforce, Boomi, Ramp or Tamarac is a plus

- The salary for this position generally ranges between $75,000-$85,000
