Summary
Join Cover Genius, a rapidly expanding insurtech company, as an Accounts Payable (AP) Associate. You will be a key member of the Global Financial Operations team, supporting and improving day-to-day AP and T&E transactions. This role requires collaboration across departments, ensuring accurate financial processes and reporting. You will manage vendor queries, process invoices and payments, and identify opportunities for process improvement. The ideal candidate possesses strong AP experience, proficiency in relevant software (NetSuite preferred), and excellent communication skills. Requirements
- Business university degree with post-qualification
- 3+ years of AP experience
- Strong skills in Microsoft Excel and/or Google sheets
- Thrives on collaboration and operates with a strong internal stakeholder mentality
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong ability to quickly identify both risks and opportunities while maintaining a strong focus on both process improvements and results
- Able to cope with a dynamic and high change environment
- Takes ownership for responsibilities with a positive attitude
- Proactive self-starter, resourceful with a strong work ethic
- Capable of working independently as well as working in a team
- Fluent in spoken and written English
Responsibilities
- Play an integral role in the global AP function of invoice processing, vendor data maintenance and payment processing
- Manage vendor queries
- Data entry and follow up approvals for all supplier invoices
- Accurate coding and processing of weekly supplier payments
- Providing support to users of our T&E platform, Navan
- Ensure costs are accurately reflected in Netsuite on a day-to-day basis
- Follow up and resolve expense account queries
- Managing credit card payment process, accurate account coding and collection of expense receipts
- Identify opportunities for automation, standardisation, and overall process improvement
- Support the financial reporting department in providing audit evidence as requested
- Partake in ad hoc accounting or finance projects and analyses
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working with NetSuite, Coupa, Navan and Ramp
