Advanced Data Scientist

Summary

Join Feedzai's Product Team as a Product Data Science leader, guiding Data Science/Machine Learning teams in developing financial crime-fighting products. You will provide technical leadership, hire top-tier data scientists, and plan product development execution. This role demands deep data science knowledge and strong leadership skills to ensure timely delivery of high-quality features for clients. You'll lead a team, drive architecture and design, and collaborate with stakeholders across engineering and product teams. Your contributions directly impact the detection of financial crime activity, making this a crucial role in Feedzai's success.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience with very large datasets
• 5+ years of experience in applied ML
• 5+ years of data science work, including experiment design
• Experience in communicating complex concepts to customers and/or key stakeholders

Responsibilities

• Lead a small team of data scientists whose work has a direct impact on detecting financial crime activity
• Provide technical leadership to the team from driving architecture, design, and experimental setups up to doing code reviews
• Be responsible for the planning, execution, and success of technical projects
• Work with key stakeholders across all groups within the Engineering and Product Teams
• Develop and empower top-class data science and technology practices in the teams

• Experience working on projects that move quickly and have ever-changing processes and structure
• Demonstrated skills in leadership, adaptability, problem-solving, and critical thinking
• Be able to handle stakeholder’s expectations and push-back when necessary to ensure the success of the project
• Be solution-oriented, and when issues arise, be able to roll up your sleeves and tackle them with a ‘get it done’ attitude
• Team player with a clear focus on taking the performance of teams to the next level
• Solid background in data science practices and applied Machine Learning principles
• Experience working in customer-facing Data Science initiatives
• Experience working in Machine Learning Platform initiatives
• Experience working in the fraud detection domain
