Summary

The Whitney Museum offers a paid semester-long internship for undergraduate and graduate students in the Fall 2024 semester. Eligible applicants are currently enrolled in an accredited academic program and have completed at least one year of academic coursework. The intern will be assigned to the Advancement: Major Gifts department and will assist with gift processing, acknowledgement letter writing, virtual Patron Group events, and general administrative tasks. Required skills include knowledge of Microsoft Office, while Raiser’s Edge knowledge is a plus. Interns receive training in Raiser’s Edge, the Museum System, and Library Orientation. Outcomes include writing, research skills, interpersonal communication, and knowledge of the nonprofit and museum world. The intern will be paid a stipend of $3000.

Requirements

• Knowledge of Microsoft Office
• Undergraduates and graduates currently enrolled in accredited academic year programs are eligible
• Applicants must have completed a minimum of one year’s worth of academic coursework; undergraduate freshmen are not eligible
