Summary

The Whitney Museum offers a semester-long paid internship for undergraduate and graduate students in the Corporate Partnerships and Events department. Interns commit to 16–21 hours per week over 10–12 weeks, and are assigned to this department for the duration of the internship. The expected projects include supporting the Corporate Membership program, prospect research, event assistance, and additional research tasks as needed.

Requirements

  • Undergraduates and graduates currently enrolled in accredited academic year programs are eligible
  • Applicants must have completed a minimum of one year’s worth of academic coursework; undergraduate freshmen are not eligible

Responsibilities

  • Supporting the Corporate Membership program through assembling Renewal and Welcome Packets, processing gifts through RE, and prospect research
  • Assisting with administrative tasks such as invoices, event list collection, filing, and processing payments
  • Providing on-site assistance with events including internal, external, and fundraising events

Preferred Qualifications

A demonstrated interest in art and art history is preferred, but students in all majors are encouraged to apply
