Summary

Join Blue Acorn iCi as an AEM Technical Lead! You will provide technical oversight and project management for Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) projects. Responsibilities include developing and implementing AEM solutions, configuring AEM environments, translating business requirements into technical details, and ensuring high-quality code. You will lead technical teams, manage multiple projects, and work with stakeholders to achieve project goals. This role requires strong Java/J2EE/JSP experience, AEM expertise, and the ability to lead technical teams. A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience is required.

Requirements

  • Ability to occasionally travel to meet in person in one of the offices in either Chicago, IL or Milwaukee, WI
  • Bachelorโ€™s degree, preferably in Computer Science and/or equivalent experience in the development industry
  • 3+ years of web content management system experience working with one or more CMS packages, including Adobe Experience Manager version 6.0 or above (version 6.5 a plus)
  • Typescript experience
  • Web portal back-end development experience
  • Strong Java/J2EE/JSP experience โ€“ minimum of 3 years developing large system applications
  • Working knowledge and understanding of the following: JCR, Apache Sling, Apache Felix, OSGi, REST, JavaScript, jQuery, AJAX, JSON, HTML, CSS
  • Ability to lead technical teams of 2-6 in size and drive technical direction
  • Ability to juggle multiple projects while meeting stringent deadlines

Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and configure web content management solutions using AEM and technologies such as Java, HTML/DHTML, XML, JavaScript, and web services
  • Assist clients in achieving strategic objectives through technology solution implementation
  • Setup and configuration of AEM development environments
  • Setup and configuration of AEM Author and Publish instances and ensuring all code works in both environments
  • Setup and configuration of dispatcher or proxy to run in front of AEM
  • Translating business requirements into technical details relevant to AEM
  • Ensure quality of code is high for themselves and other team members
  • Designing reusable AEM components for authoring content
  • Understand the clientโ€™s technical environment and how they use technology to provide the best, focused advice
  • Provide input into estimating engagement activities and execute engagements following the Agile methodology including SCRUM

Preferred Qualifications

  • AEM Developer or Architect certification
  • Additional technical certifications a plus
  • Experience with data migration and/or AEM upgrades
  • Experience with all technical aspects of an AEM project including (but not limited to) environment setup, code base creation, components, templates, OSGi configuration, dispatcher setup and config, and code deployments
  • Experience with Alpine JS and Vanilla JS preferred
