Summary
Join Excel Sports Management, an industry-leading sports agency, as a Sales Executive responsible for selling our roster of talent to various organizations for events and conferences. This sales-focused role requires a strong understanding of the speaker business and experience working with talent. Based in NY, Miami, Chicago, or Los Angeles, with remote options, you will proactively identify new opportunities, build relationships with speakers and buyers, negotiate contracts, and develop marketing strategies. The position offers a competitive salary ($120,000-$130,000) plus benefits and sales bonuses. Excel Sports Management is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
Requirements
- Proven experience in sales (at least 5 years), preferably in the events or speaker industry
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills
- Strong understanding of the sales process and how to manage client relationships
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- Sales and Negotiation a must
- Client Relationship Management (preferably Salesforce)
- Communication and Presentation

Responsibilities
- Proactively identify and pursue new speaker opportunities
- Create new book of sales business as well as recruit new potential speaker clients, alongside Head of Division
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with current speakers, understanding their needs and preferences
- Present and pitch speakers to buyers, highlighting their expertise and speaking style
- Negotiate fees and contracts with buyers
- Research and identify new areas for growth for our speakers, and help build buyer database
- Develop and implement marketing strategies to promote speakers and their expertise, along with the creation of targeted marketing campaigns for speakers
- Utilize online platforms to increase speaker visibility and reach
Preferred Qualifications
Understanding of event planning and logistics process is a plus
Benefits
- The pay range for this position is: $120,000- $130,000 per year
- This position is also eligible for benefits and a sales bonus
