Analytics Engineer

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computing, Math, Engineering, Statistics, Economics, or another quantitative field
• Strong skills in data manipulation using SQL code (any dialect)
• 2+ years of experience using dbt (data build tool)
• Proven investigative analysis, debugging, and problem-solving skills
• Demonstrated stakeholder management skills
• Proactive and curious mindset, with a commitment to continuous learning and self-improvement
• Interest in understanding business logic and identifying data-driven insights
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to interact effectively with management, technical teams, and business stakeholders
• A valid work permit to be employed in Spain
• Fluent in written and spoken English

Responsibilities

• Work closely with Finance Managers, Analysts, Data Engineering, and other stakeholders to align on business needs and outcomes
• Collect and document technical requirements and desired business outcomes
• Design solutions to deliver analytical datasets
• Own and lead the development of solutions, primarily using dbt, Redshift SQL, and Looker
• Collaborate with stakeholders to validate and optimize ELT pipelines
• Maintain and extend existing data transformation processes
• Work within the Analytics Engineering Team to support stakeholders, align with business objectives, and continuously improve working practices

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Python scripting and Airflow for workflow orchestration
• Familiarity with AWS Redshift and dbt Cloud
• Exposure to Finance Data and analytical use cases
