Analytics Engineer, Blockchain Data Specialist

Summary

Join Flipside Crypto's Data Analytics Team as an Analytics Engineer, a fully remote position open internationally. You will be crucial in designing and implementing data solutions for blockchain data analysis, serving as a blockchain analytics expert. Responsibilities include designing data models using dbt and SQL, creating analytics product specifications, developing data pipelines, collaborating with various teams, mentoring team members, and contributing to standardized blockchain data frameworks. This role requires 3+ years of experience with complex datasets, expertise in blockchain data structures and analysis, advanced SQL skills, proficiency in dbt and data modeling, and a strong background in ETL pipeline development. Preferred qualifications include experience with multiple blockchain protocols, contributions to open-source projects, and a background in DeFi or crypto-native companies.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience working with complex data sets
• Demonstrated expertise in blockchain data structures and analysis
• Advanced SQL skills, particularly with modern data warehouses (Snowflake, Athena, etc.)
• Proficiency in dbt and data modeling (star schema, dimensional modeling)
• Strong background in ETL pipeline development
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and analytical mindset

Responsibilities

• Design and implement data models using dbt and SQL for blockchain data analysis
• Create comprehensive analytics product specifications and metric definitions
• Develop and maintain data pipelines for both on-chain and off-chain data sources
• Collaborate with Data Product team on initiatives
• Mentor team members on blockchain data analysis best practices
• Collaborate with Product and Data Science teams to define analytical requirements
• Contribute to the development of standardized blockchain data frameworks
