Analytics Engineering Lead

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience working independently at a senior and/or leadership level
• A Bachelor's or advanced degree in fields such as mathematics, engineering, or economics
• Expertise in SQL and proficiency with a data engineering language, such as Python or Scala
• Experience with data transformation tools like dbt
• Knowledge of data visualization and BI tools such as Tableau, Looker, or Metabase
• Experience with ETL frameworks like Airflow
• Strong and clear communication skills: the ability to distill complex concepts into digestible insights for both technical and non-technical audiences
• A proven track record of building trusted cross-functional partnerships

Responsibilities

• Design and implement data models that facilitate analysis and model building
• Develop frameworks and tools to scale and automate insight generation in order to address critical business and product needs
• Build and nurture strong partnerships with Product, Engineering, and Data Science teams
• Foster a culture of data-driven decision-making throughout the organization
• Implement testing frameworks and validation checks across the data stack to identify and resolve quality issues, thereby enhancing trust in our data
• Collaborate closely with the Data Engineering team and participate in architectural design discussions
• Produce comprehensive documentation for data models, workflows, and processes
• Develop and maintain tools and dashboards that enable users to interact with data effectively

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in designing high-quality visualizations and dashboards
• Skills in automating data tasks for scalability
• Expertise in large-scale distributed data processing frameworks such as Spark
