Android Developer

Join Nimble Gravity's growing development team as a skilled Android Developer. You will design, develop, and maintain high-performance mobile applications for Android devices, collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver exceptional user experiences. This role involves working on cutting-edge products with a global impact across various industries. You will ensure application performance, identify and fix bugs, and implement new technologies to maximize efficiency. The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of professional experience in Android development and strong proficiency in Kotlin and/or Java.

Requirements

• 3+ years of professional experience in Android development
• Strong proficiency in Kotlin and/or Java
• Experience with Android SDK, different versions of Android, and how to deal with different screen sizes
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs to connect Android applications to backend services
• Experience with offline storage, threading, and performance tuning
• Knowledge of modern architecture patterns (MVVM, Clean Architecture)
• Experience with version control tools like Git
• Familiarity with Google’s Android design principles and interface guidelines

Responsibilities

• Design and build advanced applications for the Android platform
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features
• Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications
• Identify and fix bugs and performance bottlenecks
• Continuously discover, evaluate, and implement new technologies to maximize development efficiency
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to team knowledge sharing

Preferred Qualifications

• Desired experience with third-party libraries and APIs
• Desired experience with Jetpack Compose
• Desired familiarity with CI/CD tools
• Desired experience publishing apps to the Google Play Store
• Desired understanding of Agile development methodologies
