Android Engineer, Remote - Canada

Summary

Bankjoy is seeking an experienced Android Engineer to join their mobile team. The engineer will develop Android applications using Kotlin and contribute to the design and implementation of digital banking products. Requirements

• At least 3+ years of Android application development experience
• Proficiency in Kotlin
• 5+ years of professional enterprise software development experience
• Strong understanding of UI/UX principles
• Experience with app maintenance and support production issues
• Experience with third-party libraries and integration of services
• Familiarity with design patterns, software architecture, and clean code principles
• Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• B.Sc. in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent working experience

Responsibilities

• Develop native Android code solutions to build digital banking products and features with best UI and UX practices
• Work cross-functionally with design, product, and engineering to deliver great user experiences
• Maintain Android Applications using Kotlin with high standards of quality, performance, and usability
• Collaborate with the team to design and implement robust, scalable, and maintainable application architecture
• Identify and resolve bugs, performance issues, and other technical problems
• Participate in code reviews to provide constructive feedback and ensure the quality and consistency of code
• Document code, processes, and technical specifications to ensure transparency and knowledge sharing within the team
• Write unit tests to maintain a high level of code quality and reliability
