Summary
Join AC Disaster Consulting as an Application Development Supervisor! This temporary, full-time position based in Tallahassee, FL (with potential for remote work) offers a competitive hourly rate of $42-$47. You will oversee the development of FEMA Swiftwater and HMGP housing applications for the Elevate Florida program, supervising a team of specialists. The ideal candidate possesses expertise in emergency management, strong analytical and leadership skills, and experience with HMGP or Swift Current application development. This role involves collaborating with stakeholders, ensuring compliance, and streamlining application processes. While travel is expected, the position offers the possibility of remote work.
Requirements
- A bachelor's degree in emergency management or a related field is required
- At least 3 years of HMGP or Swift Current application development experience
- At least one year of experience with application development oversight and supervision
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Eligibility to work in the United States without employer sponsored visa is required
- Must pass company and any applicable client background check and reference check upon offer of employment
Responsibilities
- Supervise the development of FEMA Swiftwater and HMGP housing applications for the Elevate Florida program
- Supervise a team of application development specialist
- Provide feedback and guidance and serve as a subject matter expert
- Provide QA/QC of applications to reduce or eliminate RFI from FDEM and FEMA
- Provide program guidance and interpretation of policy and procedures around FEMA HMA housing programs
- Analyze program requirements and guidelines to ensure applications meet eligibility and compliance standards
- Collaborate with stakeholders to collect and validate data required for funding applications, including damage assessments, cost estimates, and project scopes
- Ensure all submissions align with federal and state regulations, funding guidelines, and deadlines
- Work closely with internal teams, clients, and external agencies to gather necessary information and refine application strategies
- Act as a liaison between clients and funding agencies during the application process
- Monitor funding program updates and maintain knowledge of best practices in emergency management funding
- Identify opportunities to streamline application processes and improve success rates
- Provide oversigt of QA/QC of applications to reduce or eliminate RFI from FDEM and FEMA
Preferred Qualifications
- 3+ or more year's experience with application development supervisory experience with similar housing programs
- 5+ years of relevant experience with HMGP housing programs
- Certification in emergency management (e.g., FEMA IS certifications, CEM) or grant writing
- Experience with data visualization tools to support funding applications
- Familiarity with disaster recovery and mitigation planning processes
