Application Engineering Specialist

Summary

Geometric Solutions is seeking an Applications Engineer to join their team. The position can be hybrid or remote. The role involves providing technical sales support, creating demos and presentations, developing and presenting technical training, constructing proposals, and managing customer relationships. A Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent work experience, project management and customer support experience, understanding of Design and Manufacturing process, proficiency in Microsoft Office products, and knowledge of Siemens products are required. Problem-solving experience in a manufacturing plant setting, understanding of Discrete Event Simulation, and understanding of Robotic Systems and Automation are preferred.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering discipline or equivalent work experience
• Experience in project management and customer support
• Understanding and/or experience in Design and Manufacturing process
• Proficient in Microsoft Office products such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Knowledge of Siemens products such as NX, Teamcenter, Tecnomatix: Process Designer, Process Simulate, Plant Simulation, and VSA
• Basic understanding of CAD/CAM
• Excellent communication skills

Responsibilities

• Report to Geometric Solutions Managing Director
• Provide technical sales support (Pre & Post sales)
• Create demos and present to customers based on various functions
• Develop and present technical training
• Construct proposals and estimate applicable hours
• Customer Relationship Management: Write reports and communicate results, issues, & recommendations to the customer

• Problem-solving experience in a manufacturing plant setting

• Understanding of Robotic Systems and Automation
