Summary

Join Eurofins Scientific as an Application Support Engineer and become a key member of our IT team. You will provide support for internal IT application users, ensuring application uptime and responding to requests for cloud and on-premise application services. This role involves handling incidents, support requests, and small projects related to eESB services. You will also be responsible for queue health, identifying trends, and implementing process improvements. Teamwork and a 24x5 rotation are integral parts of this position, requiring deep technical expertise. Experience with Azure and AWS is a plus. Requirements

  • 5-8 years experience in Application Support
  • ITIL framework knowledge
  • Strong in Unix/Linux, Java fundamentals
  • Working experience with Cloud (preferably Microsoft Azure)
  • Good oral and written communication skills
  • Willingness to learn and perform in a small team
  • BE / MCA, or any other equivalent degree in Computer Science

Responsibilities

  • Support internal IT application users with application uptime and requests
  • Support a variety of technologies related to eESB (Eurofins Enterprise Service Bus) services over cloud architecture
  • Handle support requests for a variety of technologies
  • Execute on improvements and automation identified by you or others on the team
  • Own small projects within your respective area
  • Be responsible for the general health of the queue (resolving tickets, identifying trends, finding the technical cause of problems)
  • Recommend and implement process/system changes to eliminate incoming workload, optimizing team process
  • Diagnose problems to the root cause and resolve them
  • Escalate issues where appropriate
  • Participate in a team 24x5 weekly rotation

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Azure, AWS, and cloud development
  • Experience in message oriented Middleware like Active MQ or MSMQ
  • Knowledge of DevOps framework
  • Performance monitoring on Solarwinds. Reporting tools, Service Now, Graphana reporting
  • Knowledge on Version control tools like GIT Hub
  • Shell scripting
