Application Support Engineer L2

Summary

Responsibilities include incident response, support requests, project work, queue ownership, and participation in a 24x5 rotation. Requirements

• 5-8 years experience in Application Support
• ITIL framework knowledge
• Strong in Unix/Linux, Java fundamentals
• Working experience with Cloud (preferably Microsoft Azure)
• Good oral and written communication skills
• Willingness to learn and perform in a small team
• BE / MCA, or any other equivalent degree in Computer Science

Responsibilities

• Respond to incidents and handle support requests for various technologies related to eESB (Eurofins Enterprise Service Bus) services over cloud architecture
• Execute on improvements and automation identified by you or others on the team and own small projects within your area
• Be responsible for the general health of the queue (resolving tickets, identifying trends, finding the technical cause of problems)
• Recommend and implement process/system changes to eliminate incoming workload, optimizing team process, diagnosing problems to the root cause and resolving them, and escalating where appropriate
• Participate in a team 24x5 weekly rotation

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Azure, AWS, and cloud development
• Experience in message oriented Middleware like Active MQ or MSMQ
• Knowledge of DevOps framework
• Performance monitoring on Solarwinds. Reporting tools, Service Now, Graphana reporting
• Knowledge on Version control tools like GIT Hub
• Shell scripting
