Application Support Engineer L2

Requirements

• 5-8 years of experience in Application Support
• ITIL framework knowledge
• Strong Unix/Linux and Java fundamentals
• Working experience with Cloud (preferably Microsoft Azure)
• Good oral and written communication skills
• Willingness to learn and perform in a small team
• BE / MCA, or any other equivalent degree in Computer Science

Responsibilities

• Respond to incidents and handle support requests for various technologies related to eESB services over cloud architecture
• Execute on improvements and automation identified by the team and own small projects
• Manage the general health of the queue, resolving tickets, identifying trends, and implementing process/system changes to optimize team processes
• Diagnose problems to the root cause, resolve them, and escalate where appropriate
• Participate in a team 24x5 weekly rotation

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Azure, AWS, and cloud development
• Experience in message oriented Middleware like Active MQ or MSMQ
• Knowledge of DevOps framework
• Performance monitoring on Solarwinds, reporting tools, Service Now, Graphana reporting
• Knowledge on Version control tools like GIT Hub
• Shell scripting
