Summary
Join Prismic, a SaaS CMS company, as an Apprentice Product Designer to support design efforts and learn to meet diverse customer needs. You will assist in solving product challenges, collaborating with a cross-functional team. Responsibilities include wireframing, prototyping, UI design, collaborating with researchers, and improving the design system. The role requires a portfolio showcasing software design skills, knowledge of UX methodologies, and a willingness to learn. Requirements
- A portfolio or selection of projects (school, personal, freelance) showing your interest in designing software for desktop and/or mobile, with foundations in typography, interaction and visual design, and idea generation
- You love to iterate, edit, abandon, and start again
- A curiosity to understand complex scenarios and translate them into clear user flows
- Good knowledge of UX methodologies (from your studies or personal projects)
- Willingness to learn usability testing and research, with guidance from UX Researchers
- Eager to learn new practices and push boundaries of design tools by leveraging the latest AI capabilities
- You are used to working with a design system
- A learning and growth mindset: our team size and our design process will evolve over the next few years. We will learn quickly and integrate what we learn β from our work and from each other
Responsibilities
- Wire-frame, build end-to-end flows, prototype, design UI (while not forgetting the details, fonts, colours, spacings, interaction patterns, wordings*...*)
- Collaborate closely with a cross-functional team of UX Researchers, Product Managers, Developers and other Designers across every touchpoint of the user experience
- Work with UX researchers from the start and learn how to form a good understanding of our users and the problems we are solving
- Interact with our users to evaluate your proposed design solutions
- Help build our user's journeys, specific to their use cases & objectives
- Contribute to the improvement and documentation of our design system
- Get the freedom to work at the edge of new practices with AI tools that enables your workflow
Preferred Qualifications
- Huge plus if you are technically adept (it can get technical). You worked with developers extensively, you maybe have already built a website from scratch, or if you have used other CMSs before...? Some basic knowledge of HTML, CSS, or JavaScript is a bonus
- Experience collaborating with distant teammates and understanding of the communication patterns within remote teams
- Any additional skills in illustration, animation, front-end development, or icon design are a plus!
- Familiarity with SaaS products or content management tools is appreciated but not required
