Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
- Level 3 Certification in Vibration Analysis; ARP Certification preferred
- 8+ years in vibration analysis and reliability in the steel, paper, or cement industries
- Proficiency in RCA, FMEA, and vibration analysis techniques. Familiarity with SAP, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Project). Basic knowledge of instrumentation relevant to rotating equipment
- Extensive experience with complex gearboxes, rolling mills, and paper applications
Responsibilities
- Perform remote vibration analysis on complex rotating machinery
- Troubleshoot issues in steel, paper mills, and cement applications using process conditions, vibration signatures, and oil analysis
- Conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA) to determine equipment failures and provide comprehensive reports
- Implement solutions to enhance mechanical reliability, minimize costs, improve safety, and address environmental concerns
- Lead and participate in incident investigations to identify root causes and recommend corrective actions to prevent reoccurrences
- Provide training on dashboard features to customers and conduct monthly visits for technical discussions and service reviews
- Prepare and deliver monthly reports and key account updates
