Requirements
- Have minimum of one-year experience as a broker/transportation solutions provider (or similar) with an established customer base
- Possess an entrepreneurial mindset who desires full range support for building your book of business and maximizing your potential
- Provide excellent customer service and be an effective communicator who is easily accessible
- Excel at and enjoy managing relationships with customers
- Be savvy at negotiating rates based on market conditions
- Be a naturally motivated and skilled sales person who is driven to build your book by acquiring new customers and carriers daily
- Be a creative thinker who enjoys a competitive, team-based atmosphere
- Be a strong multi-tasker who is adept at navigating multiple computer systems
- Have experience using CRM and TMS systems (McLeod)
- Be familiar with using KPIβs as a measure of performance and accountability
- Be able to work full-time Monday through Friday
- Be driven by a high moral and ethical compass
- Bachelor's degree in information technology, supply chain management, or a related field
- Proven experience in EDI implementation, maintenance, and troubleshooting
- Strong knowledge of EDI standards and protocols (e.g., ANSI X12, EDIFACT)
- Proficiency in EDI mapping tools and software (e.g., Gentran, Sterling Integrator)
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Responsibilities
- Manage your book of business
- Negotiate rates based on market conditions
- Build relationships with clients and carriers
- Acquire new customers and carriers daily
- Analyze and assess client EDI requirements to determine the most suitable solutions
- Configure and implement EDI systems and mapping rules
- Test and validate EDI transactions to ensure accuracy and compliance
- Monitor and troubleshoot EDI systems and processes to identify and resolve issues promptly
- Update and maintain EDI maps and configurations as needed
- Provide technical support to internal and external stakeholders regarding EDI-related matters
- Manage and maintain EDI data files and databases
- Ensure data integrity and accuracy
- Stay up-to-date with industry standards and regulations related to EDI
- Ensure compliance with EDI standards and guidelines
- Collaborate with internal departments (e.g., operations, IT, customer service) to ensure seamless EDI integration
- Work closely with clients and carriers to address EDI-related concerns
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in the transportation and logistics industry
- Knowledge of transportation management systems (TMS)
- Programming or scripting experience (e.g., SQL, Python)
