The ideal candidate possesses a Bachelor's degree in a related field, 5-8 years of relevant experience, and strong leadership skills. Experience with budgeting, financial reporting, and internal control implementation is essential. Proficiency in accounting software and excellent communication skills are also required.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • 5-8 years of progressive experience in accounting or finance roles
  • Experience in budgeting, financial reporting, and internal control implementation
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) or International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the preparation and analysis of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
  • Help identify trends, risks, and opportunities in financial performance and report findings to senior management
  • Ensure accurate and timely recording of all financial transactions in accordance with established policies and accounting principles
  • Assist with the preparation of audit schedules and liaise with external auditors during annual audits
  • Implement and monitor internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations
  • Assist in the development and refinement of financial policies and procedures
  • Stay updated on regulatory changes and industry best practices
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support financial decision-making and process improvements
  • Assist in resource planning and workflow management to ensure efficiency and productivity within the finance department
  • Participate in special financial projects, including system implementations, process automation, and strategic planning initiatives
  • Conduct ad-hoc financial analysis and research as required by management

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree or professional certification such as CPA, CMA
  • Prior supervisory or leadership experience
  • Experience working in a BPO or consulting environment
  • Excellent communication skills in English, Spanish and/or Portuguese
