Summary

As an Associate Accountant, you will perform daily accounting tasks such as AP and AR invoices entry, reconciliation, bank and credit card reconciliation, month-end closing preparation, maintaining client and vendor databases, posting entries to accounting software, analyzing reports, and providing recommendations. The job description is dynamic based on the applicant's performance. A bachelor's degree in accounting or finance and at least 2 years of experience in accounting are required. Additional qualifications include expertise in Excel, ability to respect deadlines, strong teamwork skills, integrity, confidentiality, attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and proficiency in French (preferred). Requirements

  • Completion of at least a bachelor's degree in accounting or finance
  • At least 2 years of experience in accounting
  • Ability to respect deadlines and proactively communicate in advance if unable to meet them

  • A commitment to maintaining a high level of integrity and confidentiality in handling sensitive information

Responsibilities

  • Daily accounting missions
  • Entering AP and AR invoices
  • AP / AR reconciliation
  • Maintaining accounting software integrations
  • Posting vendors payments
  • Bank reconciliation
  • Credit card reconciliation
  • Assisting with month-end closing preparation
  • Maintaining client’s database
  • Maintaining vendor’s files up to date
  • Posting entries to accounting software utilizing import from other software
  • Analyze differences and being able to provide recommendations
  • Posting and reconciling entries from reimbursement tools
  • Report analyses

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in an accounting firm would be a plus
  • Expertise in Excel, demonstrating proficiency in advanced functions and data analysis
  • Proficiency in French a plus
