Summary
As an Associate Accountant, you will perform daily accounting tasks such as AP and AR invoices entry, reconciliation, bank and credit card reconciliation, month-end closing preparation, maintaining client and vendor databases, posting entries to accounting software, analyzing reports, and providing recommendations. The job description is dynamic based on the applicant's performance. A bachelor's degree in accounting or finance and at least 2 years of experience in accounting are required. Additional qualifications include expertise in Excel, ability to respect deadlines, strong teamwork skills, integrity, confidentiality, attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and proficiency in French (preferred). Requirements
- Completion of at least a bachelor's degree in accounting or finance
- At least 2 years of experience in accounting
- Ability to respect deadlines and proactively communicate in advance if unable to meet them
- Demonstrated ability to work autonomously while maintaining a strong sense of teamwork
- A commitment to maintaining a high level of integrity and confidentiality in handling sensitive information
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to identify and solve problems effectively
Responsibilities
- Daily accounting missions
- Entering AP and AR invoices
- AP / AR reconciliation
- Maintaining accounting software integrations
- Posting vendors payments
- Bank reconciliation
- Credit card reconciliation
- Assisting with month-end closing preparation
- Maintaining clientβs database
- Maintaining vendorβs files up to date
- Posting entries to accounting software utilizing import from other software
- Analyze differences and being able to provide recommendations
- Posting and reconciling entries from reimbursement tools
- Report analyses
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in an accounting firm would be a plus
- Expertise in Excel, demonstrating proficiency in advanced functions and data analysis
- Proficiency in French a plus
