Associate Cloud Engineer

Summary

Join MetroStar as an Associate Cloud Engineer and contribute to the development and maintenance of cloud infrastructure using IaC and CaC principles. You will assist in cloud deployments, automate infrastructure provisioning, and optimize cloud environments. This role requires foundational cloud platform experience (AWS, Azure, OCI, or GCP) and collaboration with DevSecOps and security teams. The ideal candidate possesses a Bachelor's degree, relevant experience, and a DoD Secret clearance. Requirements

• Active DoD Secret clearance
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
• 1-2 years of experience in cloud engineering, DevSecOps, or IT infrastructure
• Basic experience with one or more cloud Government cloud platforms (AWS GovCloud, Azure GovCloud, OCI, or GCP)
• Fundamental knowledge of cloud networking, security, and resource management
• Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation, or equivalent)
• Basic scripting skills in Python, Bash, or PowerShell
• Familiarity with version control tools like Git
• Willingness to learn and collaborate in a fast-paced cloud environment

Responsibilities

• Assist in cloud environment provisioning and maintenance
• Monitor cloud infrastructure and report issues or anomalies
• Assist in designing, deploying, and managing cloud infrastructure solutions using IaC tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or ARM templates
• Support the automation of cloud infrastructure configurations using Ansible, Chef, or Puppet
• Collaborate with DevSecOps and security teams to ensure seamless cloud operations
• Support cloud security and compliance initiatives
• Document processes and configurations for knowledge sharing
