Summary

Join Octagon, a global sports, entertainment, and experiential marketing company, as an Associate Creative Director (Concepting). Based in Stamford, CT with flexible location options including hybrid work arrangements in several major cities or remote work on the East Coast, this role centers on creating innovative and bold ideas for branded content and experiences across various media. You will collaborate with designers and writers to develop platforms, campaigns, and stories for clients such as Budweiser, Delta Air Lines, and PlayStation. A deep understanding of the sports landscape and the ability to connect brands with sports properties authentically are crucial. The ideal candidate will have 5-8 years of agency experience, a strong portfolio, and exceptional conceptual and tactical copywriting skills.

Requirements

  • At least 5-8 years of agency experience preferred
  • Current and review-ready portfolio
  • Conceptual and tactical copywriting experience
  • A love of sports and ability to deliver concepts that resonate authentically with fans
  • Ability to take an active role in a collaborative environment and work as part of a team
  • Experience in team-based concept development, including ongoing delivery of fresh ideas

Responsibilities

  • Develop platforms, campaigns, and stories that help our clients activate their sports and entertainment partnerships
  • Research and craft big conceptual press-worthy ideas and headlines
  • Create smart and sticky digital activations that keep fans engaged
