Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree required
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in healthcare compliance or a related field
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience conducting audits in a healthcare setting, ideally with multi-site responsibility
  • Strong knowledge of PHI, HIPAA, and other relevant federal and state regulations
  • Experience working with phlebotomy services and/or patient service centers is essential
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Proficient in Google Suite
  • Ability and willingness to travel extensively throughout the United States

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive national audit program for all PSCs and IOP Phlebotomists, including site specific report card for overall performance
  • Conduct regular audits at various locations across the U.S. to assess compliance with all applicable regulations, policies, and procedures
  • Identify and document any compliance gaps or deficiencies
  • Work collaboratively with PSC and IOP staff at all locations to address audit findings and implement corrective action plans when required
  • Provide training and education to employees on compliance and SOP requirements, potentially in-person or at multiple sites
  • Monitor the effectiveness of corrective actions and ensure ongoing compliance with Natera policies
  • Engage with and promote operational excellence activities/performance improvement projects across Phlebotomy program
  • Stay up-to-date on all relevant federal and state regulations and internal compliance requirements
  • Collaborate with other departments and stakeholders to ensure consistent application of compliance and quality standards across all locations
  • Report audit findings and compliance metrics to the Sr. Director of Phlebotomy Solutions and senior leadership as needed for program performance transparency
  • Escalate critical compliance issues to the appropriate level of management
  • Develop and maintain audit documentation and records
  • Contribute to the development and improvement of compliance policies and procedures
  • Foster a culture of compliance within the organization
  • Manage travel logistics and expenses efficiently
  • May perform other duties as assigned

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's Degree
  • Certification in healthcare compliance (CHC or CHP)
