Summary
Join Acceleration Partners as an Associate Program Director/Program Director and lead large, global remote teams, overseeing successful client outcomes. You will manage team growth, ensure profitability, and maintain high client satisfaction. This role demands strong operational oversight, attention to detail, and affiliate channel expertise. You will collaborate closely with Account Directors to balance client needs with team success. The ideal candidate is a skilled coach and leader, adept at building positive team cultures and driving process improvements. Success in this role will be measured by team performance, client satisfaction, and profitability.
Requirements
- 8 plus years of online marketing, e-commerce, or affiliate marketing experience
- General understanding of affiliate marketing (direct or indirect channel exposure at agency or inhouse)
- Proven leadership track record with experience interviewing, hiring, developing, coaching, and performance management of direct reports
- Knowledge of general affiliate tracking methodologies via platform partners (Radius by Impact, ShareASale, etc.)
- Microsoft Office expertise
Responsibilities
- Lead, manage, and hold your team accountable β Oversee account teams for a large portfolio of clients, managing and leading team members, and ensuring they are executing at a high level
- Build relationships with team members, cultivating rapport with everyone
- Manage growth paths for client team members, identify opportunities for training, and proactively address underperformance through coaching and management
- Work closely with Account Directors to build effective team outcomes and high-performing client teams
- Successfully deliver a positive working culture and environment aligned to AP values
- Be accountable for new hires and developing account teams through mentoring, coaching, and proactive and timely feedback
- Oversee the operational and strategic management of client programs, ensuring program operations run on time, on budget, and at a highly professional standard
- Have a clear understanding of program strategy and key risk areas and ensure the account team is executing on client needs
- Leverage channel expertise to support innovation and growth while reducing risk
- Engage with the team around process improvements and ensure the delivery of high-quality work while maintaining efficiency
- Work closely with Staffing to manage monthly utilization rates, creating staffing plans for the full portfolio
- Ensure accounts are profitable and stay within scope
- Stay laser-focused on account revenue and profitability, working with the Account Management Director to balance growth with margin
- Manage team workload and priorities through the lens of profitability and best outcome
- Work with the account team to identify ways to build account efficiency, identify opportunities for new revenue, and drive better outcomes without additional program costs
- Be ultimately responsible for the margin in their portfolio
- Anticipate obstacles for client teams and ensure they are cleared to enable the team to operate efficiently
- Work closely with Account Directors to ensure client teams are executing the account strategy and aligned with the strategic needs of the client
- Support Account Directors on client escalations
- Support and guide the team on effective client management and processes to ensure the team is delivering ongoing outputs to a high standard
- Support client satisfaction overall, which is reflected in a net promoter score of 8+
- Be comfortable operating in a matrixed accountability with Account Directors, offering flexibility and support when needed in line with changing escalations and priorities
- Show organizational stewardship in leading the team, ensuring proper information sharing by disseminating information in a timely manner and with the businessβ perspective
- Flag and escalate key risks and people issues as needed up the chain
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in an Agency or Client Service environment
- Experience in Project Management, Task management and time tracking using tools such as Asana
- Comfortable managing large global remote teams
- Enthusiastic about managing and growing high-performing team members
- Comfortable working with mixed accountabilities and serving as the informational bridge between functions
- Excellent coach with a proven track record of developing A Players
- Strong operational instincts and process oversight and management
- High attention to detail
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Comfortable with pushback and liaising with internal stakeholders to get to positive outcomes
- Strong internal accountability, always meeting deadlines and keeping commitments
- Leads by example and knows how to collaborate and motivate team members in a remote environment
- Thrives in a fast-paced environment; enjoys bringing order to chaos and sets the tone for the team
- Can overcome roadblocks and take a solution-oriented approach to challenges
- Prioritizes competing objectives and manages time with skill and coaches team to do the same
