Remote work options are available, and the salary is competitive, depending on location. Recidiviz offers a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, paid time off, parental leave, and more.

Requirements

  • Exceptional communication skills: You possess outstanding written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to distill complex information into clear and concise messaging

  • Proactive and results-oriented: You are a self-starter who takes initiative, identifies opportunities, and drives projects to completion
  • Passion for technology: You are excited about technology and its potential to drive positive change. You are eager to learn about new technologies and can grasp technical concepts with ease
  • Strong analytical skills: Able to synthesize information, identify key insights, and translate data into actionable strategies
  • 2+ years of experience in demanding roles that required communication, creative problem solving, and collaboration. While a background in B2B or govtech product marketing is the most directly transferable, successful applicants may have built these skills in product management, government, management consulting or other fields

Responsibilities

  • Champion our Products: Develop impactful product positioning and messaging that resonates with criminal justice leaders and positions Recidiviz as a thought leader in corrections and govtech
  • Empower State Partnerships and Growth: Create high-quality marketing collateral (one-pagers, case studies, presentations, website content) to support business development, state engagement, and product growth initiatives
  • Launch New Products and Features: Collaborate with the product team to develop and execute go-to-market strategies for new offerings, such as AI-enabled features and tools for people in prison, ensuring successful adoption and impactful rollout
  • Develop Compelling Stories: Change minds and drive action by sourcing and sharing the real-world stories of how Recidiviz’s products are improving the lives of people throughout the criminal justice system
  • Become a Recidiviz Expert: Deeply understand our products, target audiences, and the evolving landscape of corrections technology through market research, customer interaction, and collaboration with internal teams

Preferred Qualifications

  • Have a connection to the criminal justice system and/or passion for doing work that matters: You have either lived or working experience with the operations and consequences of America's criminal justice system. You don’t need to know everything about the field, but it is helpful if the design and efficacy of our criminal justice processes feel like issues that you cannot choose to ignore
  • Experience in creating and delivering sales enablement materials, user stories, and other marketing collateral

Benefits

  • 90% medical, dental, and vision insurance coverage for you and your dependents
  • Flexible time off, including 20 days of PTO, 3 days of paid volunteering time, and 13 paid holidays
  • 12 weeks of paid parental leave
  • 401(k) retirement plan with 5% company match and no vesting period
  • Complimentary One Medical membership (depending on location)
  • Partnership with Carrot to provide employees with inclusive fertility and family-forming benefits, as well as a small but growing number of hormonal health and gender-affirming care benefits
  • Monthly ClassPass credit for personal wellness
  • Free mental health support via Talkspace
  • Well-located offices in Oakland and Manhattan, with the flexibility to work remotely or go into either office as you choose
  • An annual company offsite each spring and other ad-hoc gatherings
