Associate, Statutory Investment Accounting

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
• 4+ years relevant experience; insurance industry experience and accounting, reporting, and investments is expected

Responsibilities

• Complete stat assignments including but not limited to investment NAIC Annual Statement schedules, footnotes, interrogatories for seven insurance company entities
• Train newer members of the team on assignable tasks related to investment accounting and reporting
• Perform control functions in compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley Section 404
• Perform frequent ad hoc analysis and support new business initiatives as needed
• Review journal entries, Annual Statement reporting schedules
• Assist in planning and executing improvements to the quarterly reporting process
• Support audit completion in regulatory communications
• Ensure annual rating agency survey process is completed

Benefits

Base salary range: $82,000 - $156,000 USD
