Automation Engineer

Summary

Join HeadQuarters, a global start-up supporting US cannabis companies, as an Automations Engineer. You will design, build, and maintain automated processes using Make.com to improve clients' accounts payable, receivable, and finance operations. This fully remote position requires proven Make.com workflow experience and a basic understanding of accounting and financial processes. You will collaborate with finance and operations teams, troubleshoot automations, and ensure compliance. The role offers performance-based salary growth and a collaborative remote-first environment. Requirements

• Proven experience building workflows in Make.com
• Basic understanding of accounting and financial processes (AP, AR, invoicing, reporting)
• Experience working with financial software platforms and APIs
• Ability to map business processes and translate them into automated workflows
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Good communication skills to collaborate with remote teams and clients

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Make.com workflows to automate repetitive finance and accounting tasks
• Integrate accounting platforms (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP) with other tools via Make.com
• Collaborate with finance and operations teams to understand pain points and design automation solutions
• Troubleshoot and optimize existing automations to improve reliability and efficiency
• Document automation processes and provide training to relevant staff
• Ensure compliance with financial controls and data security standards

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with other automation platforms (Make/Integromat, Tray.io)
• Familiarity with the cannabis industry or related compliance regulations
