Backend Team Lead

Requirements

• Strong organizational and leadership skills
• Valuable previous experience managing development teams
• Excellent communication skills
• Previous experience in mentoring, coaching and/or leading a development team
• Experience working with multidisciplinary teams
• Have more than 5 years of experience as a Frontend developer
• Experience working on developing modern and intuitive interfaces
• Ensuring code quality and application optimization
• Review and provide feedback on code
• Advanced skills in JavaScript, the primary language used in front-end development
• Know how to design and develop web applications with Javascript, Typescript and React
• Familiarity and experience with automated testing platforms and unit tests
• Knowledge of semantic HTML and applied to SEO optimization
• Experience with BEM, SASS and/or Styled Components methodology

Responsibilities

• Establish high quality standards in terms of technical knowledge, organization, and management in the team
• Contribute to the development of team members, providing support/advice and training them in time management and prioritization
• Encourage and promote research and innovation of new opportunities within projects and processes to keep us competitive
• Advance in improving code quality
• Maintain a cohesive, motivated team with a professional vision
• Participate in the selection processes for developers/team leads/architects
• Coordinate with other project team leads and technical leads
• Be the point of reference for backend developers
• Plan 'One to One' personal meetings for proper follow-up
• Plan, organize, and lead team meetings and ensure that actions are taken based on team discussions. Provide opportunities for collaboration and expression
• Plan the team's global objectives
• Manage team vacations and other absences

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of build tools and automation ( Webpack, Babel, RollUp)
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS…)
• Familiarity with CMS or Headless CMS (Strapi, WP…)
