Summary
Join Model N's Total Rewards team as a Benefits Specialist! This role centers on administering employee benefits for the U.S. workforce and supporting international offices. You will be the primary point of contact for employee benefit questions, manage the annual open enrollment process, and ensure compliance with regulations. Additionally, you will create communication materials, maintain relationships with vendors, and contribute to general HR operations. This position requires 2+ years of experience in U.S. benefits administration and a strong understanding of relevant regulations. Requirements
- 2+ years of experience in U.S. benefits administration
- Basic knowledge of U.S. benefits regulations and HR practices
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Detail-oriented with good organizational and time management abilities
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment
Responsibilities
- Administer employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, wellness initiatives, and other ancillary benefits
- Serve as a point of contact for employees regarding benefits questions and support, ensuring timely resolution of issues related to enrollment, claims, and coverage
- Coordinate the annual benefits open enrollment process, including preparing communication materials, system configuration and assisting employees with enrollment
- Develop and distribute communication materials to inform employees about benefits programs and HR policies
- Ensure benefits programs adhere to relevant federal, state, and local regulations
- Prepare documentation for compliance reporting and audits as needed
- Assist in managing relationships with benefits providers and third-party administrators to ensure smooth delivery of services
- Support the review of vendor performance and participate in the renewal process
- Support the implementation of a third-party Leave of Absence (LOA) platform, and collaborate with the vendor and internal stakeholders on an ongoing basis to ensure a seamless and positive experience for employees navigating LOA cases
- Provide additional support to the Total Rewards and People Operations teams, as needed
Preferred Qualifications
Familiarity with HRIS systems and benefits administration platforms (ADP, Workday)
