Billing Data Analyst

The position is a contract role offering remote work opportunities in several states and a competitive hourly rate.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in data analysis roles
• Advanced SQL query writing capabilities
• Expert proficiency in Google Sheets and Microsoft Excel
• Experience with data visualization tools and platforms
• Experience with LookML and Looker
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Excellence in written and verbal communication
• Ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical audiences
• Demonstrated experience in multi-source data integration

Responsibilities

• Analyze billing data to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial records
• Generate timely reports and visualizations using SQL, Looker, and other analytics tools
• Develop and maintain self-service reporting solutions to improve stakeholder access to data
• Investigate and resolve billing discrepancies through data analysis
• Collaborate with Engineering, Finance, Sales, Marketing, and Customer Solutions teams
• Transform complex data insights into actionable recommendations for stakeholders
• Support product decisions through data-driven insights and metric tracking
• Write and optimize SQL queries for data extraction and analysis
• Maintain and update billing analysis systems and databases
• Connect multiple data sources to create comprehensive analytical solutions

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or related field
• Proficiency with Looker platform
• JavaScript or Python programming experience
• Experience with Snowflake or similar data lake solutions
• Knowledge of AWS data services

Benefits

• This position is an hourly contract position; 20 - 40 hours per week
• Hourly Rate: $34 - $40
