Billing Specialist

Join Pearl Talent as a fully remote Billing Specialist, working independently and contributing to the success of ABA practices. This full-time role requires 3+ years of billing experience in healthcare or ABA therapy, strong understanding of insurance billing processes, and familiarity with billing software. You will manage billing processes, resolve claims issues, optimize revenue cycles, verify insurance, and communicate with clients. Requirements

• Minimum of 3+ years of billing experience, preferably in healthcare or ABA therapy
• Strong understanding of insurance billing processes, including CPT codes and payer-specific requirements
• Familiarity with billing software and tools like CentralReach or similar platforms
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
• Detail-oriented with the ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines

Responsibilities

• Process and submit claims to insurance companies accurately and timely
• Monitor, track, and resolve denied or unpaid claims by coordinating with payers
• Conduct regular audits of billing records to ensure accuracy and compliance
• Identify and implement improvements to streamline billing and collections workflows
• Generate reports on billing activity, collections, and outstanding accounts
• Verify patient insurance benefits and eligibility before service delivery
• Obtain pre-authorizations as required for services rendered
• Serve as the primary contact for billing inquiries from clients and patients
• Communicate with clients regarding outstanding balances and payment plans
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA and other regulatory requirements
• Maintain accurate and well-organized billing records in line with company standards
