Summary

Join FreedUp, an Austin-based startup, as a part-time Bookkeeper (5-10 hours/month)! You will manage invoicing, billing, accounts payable/receivable, and financial reporting. Requirements

  • Proven experience (3+ years) as a Bookkeeper or Finance professional
  • Proficiency in QuickBooks and Stripe is required
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • A proven track record of supporting U.S. executives in a virtual setting is required
  • C2 level proficiency in English, both written and spoken
  • Reliable high-speed internet connection with a minimum speed of 50 Mbps download and 10 Mbps upload
  • A modern computer or laptop with a multi-core processor (Intel i5 or higher/equivalent)
  • Proficiency with remote communication tools such as Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Slack, or Google Meet
  • A noise-canceling headset with a microphone for clear communication

Responsibilities

  • Utilize QuickBooks for bookkeeping, including entering transactions, reconciling bank statements, and generating financial reports
  • Handle payment processing through Stripe, including monitoring transactions, reconciling accounts, and resolving any discrepancies
  • Assist with the preparation and processing of client invoices, ensuring timely and accurate billing
  • Manage and maintain accurate financial records, including general ledger entries, accounts payable and receivable, and financial reporting
  • Provide insights and recommendations based on financial data to help improve the company's financial health
  • Ensure that all financial processes comply with relevant regulations and company policies
  • Work closely with other departments to support financial operations and provide necessary reports

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with tax regulations and compliance is a plus
  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred
