Business Analyst 5

Summary

Join the DTMB department as a Business Analyst 5 and contribute your extensive experience to a fully remote position. This 1-year contract (with possible extension) requires 16+ years of experience in business analysis. You will analyze business systems, formulate strategies, and reengineer processes. Experience with Infor Global HR/BN/LP/Payroll implementations, Lawson versions 8-10, and CloudSuite is crucial. The role involves preparing functional and technical specifications, developing RFPs, and working with IT and business project teams. While fully remote, occasional travel to Lansing, MI may be required at the State's discretion.

Requirements

• 16 or more years of experience in the field
• Familiar with industry standard (including Legacy, Core, and Emerging technologies), business process mapping, and reengineering
• Familiar with relational database concepts, and client-server concepts
• Multiple Infor Global HR/BN/LP/Payroll Implementations experience
• Infor Version 11 application upgrade experience
• 15+ years Lawson Versions 8,9,10 for Human Resources (HR), Benefits (BN), Payroll (PR), Absence/Leave (LP), Personnel (PA) experience
• 3+ years and implementation CloudSuite experience specifically GHR and Payroll
• 15+ Years experience with BSI-Tax factory

Responsibilities

• Review, analyze, and evaluate business systems and user needs
• Formulate systems to parallel overall business strategies
• Experienced with business process reengineering and identifying new applications of technology to business problems to make business more effective
• Prepare solution options, risk identification, and financial analyses such as cost/benefit, ROI, buy/build, etc
• Write detailed descriptions of user needs, program functions, and steps required to develop or modify computer programs
• Prepare and document Functional and Technical Specifications for reporting and data warehouse work
• Assist with business warehouse/intelligence support and enhancements
• Develop RFPs
• Assist in deployment and management of end-user reporting tools and platforms
• Work with IT and business project teams to understand reporting and data warehousing requirements and propose solutions
• Document and provide knowledge transfer to the rest of the Enterprise Reporting Team for all solutions
