Summary

Join Oportun's Member Operations team as a Business Analyst and leverage your data analysis skills to provide insights and recommendations for business decisions. You will play a key role in implementing and managing incentive compensation plans, ensuring accuracy in data analysis, and presenting findings to C-level executives. This role requires strong analytical, communication, and technical skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, SQL, Power BI, and Talend. You will collaborate with peers and business partners on projects and contribute to performance reporting. Requirements

  • English speaking (90% written and verbal)
  • Conceptual and practical thinking
  • Broad knowledge of, and the ability to write and apply advanced business analysis concepts, practices, and procedures related to assigned area
  • Ability to communicate effectively through excellent verbal and written communication skills, including clear and compelling data visualization
  • Detail analysis oriented, and ability to grasp new concepts and ideas quickly
  • Computer literate with advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Outlook, SQL, Power BI, Talend and applications utilized in the assigned line of business
  • High sense of urgency and focus on the assigned functions
  • High orientation to satisfaction with internal and external customer

Responsibilities

  • Implement and manage the Incentive Compensation Program
  • Gather, clean and transform data from various sources to ensure accuracy for analysis
  • Identify patterns, trends and relationship within data to conduct data analysis
  • Present findings in a clear and concise manner through dashboards, reports and presentations
  • Participate in monitoring and measuring the satisfaction of the need for information from internal and external users
  • Work collaboratively with peers and other business partners to complete projects, resolve dependencies, and implement performance reports
  • Perform special projects, participating or acting as project manager and additional duties and responsibilities as required
