Summary

The job is for a Business Analyst who will analyze and implement advances in technologies to improve efficiency and performance of systems. The role involves defining business functions, consulting with users, developing requirements, acting as a liaison between departments, analyzing feasibility of new systems, tracking changes, creating documentation, and communicating complex concepts clearly.

Requirements

  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in information systems, Computer Science, Business Administration, or related discipline with at least 7+ years of relevant work experience
  • Expertise working on Data Mapping and Data Migration projects
  • Proven experience working in complex projects gathering user requirements and converting them into system requirements
  • Understand data elements and their relationships between the source and target tables/fields
  • Experience with data surveys and data calls
  • Experience working on data structures, data relationships, and business rules
  • Leads/facilitates data mapping work with source data POCโ€™s
  • Coordinates/schedules/manages data mapping and x-walk effort
  • Must be able to communicate complex business concepts clearly, both oral and written, and interpret user requests
  • Must be able to work on more than one project at a time and across multiple teams
  • Experience with the Agile methodology and SCRUM. Experience working on project coordination related tasks
  • Proven experience with supporting highly critical customer missions
  • Experience in developing Job Flow, Business Process and Functional Flow diagrams
  • Hands on experience with requirements management tools

Responsibilities

  • Define and document customer business functions and processes
  • Consult with users and stakeholders to identify, define, and document business needs and objectives, current operational procedures, challenges, input and output requirements, and levels of systems access
  • Develop requirements based on Clientโ€™s business and project needs
  • Assist with project coordination tasks
  • Act as a liaison between departmental end-users, technical analysts, information technology analysts, consultants, and other governmental organizations in the analysis, testing and maintenance of web application systems to ensure optimal operational performance
  • Analyze the feasibility of, and develop requirements for, new systems and enhancements to existing systems ensures the system design fits the needs of the users
  • Track and fully document changes for functional and business specifications
  • Perform quality assurance review of deliverables for both internal and external delivery
  • Perform change impact analysis to assess the potential implications of changes and documents business rules, functions, and requirements
  • Be able to create screen mockups and visualizations for review with client and stakeholders
  • Ability to create training manuals, FAQs, and web site static contents

Preferred Qualifications

Prefer candidates who have working experience with On-prem to cloud & cloud to cloud data migration experience
