Summary
Join VetsEZ as a remote Business Analyst supporting the Department of Veterans Affairs. Lead a team in SAFe Agile software development, focusing on planning and design. Identify and resolve project issues, analyze business problems, and determine IT solutions. Collaborate with developers and UX/UI designers to translate concepts into functional online experiences. Coordinate documentation, team communication, and post-project evaluations. Define business system objectives and scope, gathering and analyzing data and user needs. Provide hardware and software procurement recommendations. Work closely with managers and end-users to find optimal IT solutions. The role requires strong cross-functional collaboration and the ability to take on additional tasks as needed.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science
- Minimum of 8 years of professional analyst experience
- Experience in data analytics and programming
- Experience designing basic UX/UI with wireframes, ability to present wireframes to clients and explain the layout and functionality
- ServiceNow and Atlassian JIRA application experience
- Experience conducting research and analysis and experience with requirements elaboration and analysis
- Certifications in business analysis or Agile methodologies (e.g., CBAP, IIBA, Certified SAFe Practitioner)
- Experience teaching processes and tools to new users
- Expert level in Microsoft Office Applications, including Project
- Proficiency with Microsoft tool suite, PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Visio & Project
- Excellent verbal and written communication including effective documentation skills
Responsibilities
- Lead a team and engage in all aspects of SAFe Agile software development, primarily for planning and design
- Identify, resolve project issues and analyze complex business problems and determine an IT solution
- Understanding both Behavior-Driven and Test-Driven development
- Collaborate with Developers and UX/UI designers to help translate visual concepts into functional online experiences
- Coordinate documentation updates, team communications, and conduct post-project evaluation
- Define objectives and scope of business systems. Gather and analyze business data and user needs
- Provide recommendations on hardware and software procurement to support client's business goals
- Work closely with managers and end users to determine the best IT solution
- Ability to work cross-functionally with different team members and stakeholders
- Take on additional tasks and responsibilities as needed to support team objectives and ensure the success of the project
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with SAFe/Agile, Certified SAFe Practitioner certification is preferred
- Experience with the VA or other Government agencies
- Ability to obtain government clearance
