Business and Reporting Analyst

Summary

Join JUMO as a Business and Reporting Analyst and contribute to the company's data domains. You will work closely with stakeholders to gather requirements and collaborate with BI developers and data engineers to build scalable solutions. Your responsibilities include owning and expanding data models, analytical models, and reporting datamarts within your assigned domains. You will report to the Data Modelling & Reporting Team Lead and be involved in various tasks such as investigating JUMO data platform, understanding business needs, translating requirements into technical specifications, performing quality assurance, conducting ad hoc analysis, designing performance metrics, and defining reporting requirements. This role requires a strong understanding of data processing, storage, and relational database management systems, along with advanced SQL skills and experience in data analysis and business process analysis.

Requirements

• 5+ years experience with data and/or systems analysis experience, majority within a formal data warehouse  environment
• University degree in either Business, Finance, Mathematics, Statistics, Informatics or equivalent industry training and experience
• Proven ability in analytics, business process analysis and presenting / communicating recommendations across all organization levels
• Real-world understanding of data processing and storage
• Relational database management systems experience in any relevant technology such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, Redshift and SQL Server
• Experience writing advanced queries (SQL, PL/SQL) or stored procedures on RDBMS
• Advanced Excel skills
• Understanding of Data Governance, Agile methodologies and QA standards
• Critical thinking under pressure

Responsibilities

• Work closely with technology platform Product Owners, Data & Prediction teams, Finance, Marketing and external partners to perform investigations on JUMO data platform to  understand and assist with the real-world problems we're trying to solve
• Need to understand the needs and requirements of your functional domain and provide direction and solutions in areas where value can be added within our data platform or where expansion is required
• Need to be able to clearly translate business requirements into technical requirements to data engineers for build
• Perform quality assurance on new and existing data sets and pipelines to discover inconsistencies, anomalies to guide problem resolution and data cleansing exercises
• Use advanced data query and discovery skills for ad hoc analysis and support for both internal and external stakeholders
• Use your data analytics skill to design and implement data domain performance metrics
• Need to be able to clearly define reporting requirements to BI Developers for build

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in data environments making use of big data, data lakes, event-based streaming and API integrations
• Experience with reporting and business intelligence software such as Tableau, Power BI, Grafana, Superset
• Experience with tools such as AWS, Airflow and NiFi
• Experience working with Github
• Experience with end-to-end BI solution design and build
• Experience in the FinTech industry
