Business Consultant

Summary

Join NEC Software Solutions' established Revenues and Benefits, and Central Government Consultancy (RBCG) Team as a Business Consultant! We're seeking two consultants: one with expertise in Council Tax and/or Business Rates Administration, and another specializing in Housing Benefit and/or Council Tax Reduction. Successful candidates will leverage their skills in NEC products and services, contributing to team growth and knowledge sharing. The role involves providing consultancy and training, developing new offerings, and ensuring customer satisfaction. This home-based position requires frequent UK travel. Requirements

• Expertise and extensive up-to-date knowledge in one or more of the following business areas, NEC products or Services: Revenues (Council Tax and/or Business Rates)
• Benefits (CTR/CTS and/or Housing Benefits)
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Ability to problem solve in demanding circumstances
• Ability to work on own or part of a team and on multiple projects in parallel
• UK Driving license and willing to work away from home as required

Responsibilities

• Provide consultancy and training on NEC Products and Service Implementations in your area of expertise
• Deliver consultancy/training on-site and remotely via Webinar / Screen share facilities
• Carry out presentations / demonstrations for delegates depending on facilities available, as and when required
• Contribute to the development of new consultancy offerings for newly developed software / services
• Make recommendations relating to best use of NEC software in line with the client’s business needs
• Ensure all consultancy and training is delivered effectively and achieves positive customer feedback
• Ensure customer satisfaction with the products and services feeding back any issues into the consultancy group and other internal stakeholders
• Assist with product development including attending user groups and creation of user guides
• Deliver quality seminars to large customer groups
• Progress and update knowledge of relevant legislation and NEC products and services
• Extend your own and other consultancy team members capacity to deliver consultancy through internal training and mentoring
• Provide the flexibility to support management decisions as and when workloads and priorities require that you work for periods in related areas such as product management, business analysis, testing or support within the NEC business

Preferred Qualifications

• Integration / Interfaces (with NEC R&B products)
• Experience of working with customers and / or external agencies
• Experience of delivering training and / or seminars
