Summary

Join GiddyUp as a Business Development & Brand Acquisition Specialist and contribute to the growth of Grommet, a leading product discovery platform. You will be responsible for identifying and acquiring innovative products, building relationships with brands, and driving product launches. This role requires a strategic, self-motivated individual with experience in business development, sales, and product scouting. Success will be measured by the number of successful product launches and the growth of Grommet's brand portfolio. The position offers a flexible, fully remote work environment.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in business development, sales, partnerships, or product scouting
  • Proven ability to identify trends and opportunities in eCommerce, consumer products, or retail
  • Experience in sales, persuasion, and relationship building
  • Strong understanding of DTC brands, eCommerce, and digital marketing trends

Responsibilities

  • Discover and evaluate unique, problem-solving, and trending products that align with Grommet’s audience, values and mission
  • Utilize prospecting tools, social media, industry networks, email lists, and communities to build a pipeline of high-potential brands
  • Conduct cold outreach (social, email, calls) and develop compelling messaging to attract and convert brands to join Grommet
  • Build relationships with emerging product creators, founders, and brand owners to encourage long-term success on Grommet
  • Stay ahead of market trends, price points, and product categories to inform sourcing strategies and capitalize on high-growth opportunities
  • Assist brands in the application process, Shopify app integration, and technical setup to ensure a smooth launch
  • Attend and network at trade shows and industry events (e.g., CES, Inspired Home) to discover and connect with innovative brands
  • Work closely with the internal team to ensure new product discoveries align with brand values, newsletter content, and marketing strategies
  • Leverage automation tools, AI-driven prospecting, and CRM systems to scale outreach efforts and maintain an organized pipeline
  • Track outreach effectiveness, application conversions, and successful product launches, continuously optimizing for better results

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business Management, or other related field
  • Experience working in a startup or fast-growing eCommerce environment
  • Familiarity with affiliate marketing, partner commerce, or direct-to-consumer sales
  • Prior experience in product sourcing, brand partnerships, or consumer goods scouting
