Business Development and Communications Intern

Summary

Join our team as a Business Development & Communications Intern! This paid internship, reporting to the Director of GIS, offers valuable experience in process improvement, strategic initiatives, and professional communications. You will support workflow optimization, data analysis, and the creation of high-quality reports and templates. Collaboration with various departments is key to enhancing efficiency and visual communications within the renewable energy sector. The internship is available in Houston, TX, Albany, NY, or remotely with 10% travel.

Requirements

• Pursue a bachelor's or master's degree in business, Communications, Marketing, Energy, or a related field
• Possess strong written and verbal communication skills, with experience creating polished, executive-level documents
• Demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Word, Excel) and design tools (Canva, Adobe Suite a plus)
• Have an analytical mindset with experience in business analysis, project coordination, or process improvement
• Be able to translate data and insights into compelling visual presentations
• Possess strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities
• Be able to work in a small team
• Possess strong organizational and time-management skills

Responsibilities

• Assist in business process optimization and workflow improvements
• Develop presentation decks, reports, and templates for executive and stakeholder communication
• Conduct data analysis and research to support business development initiatives
• Support competitor research and identification and tracking of industry conferences
• Standardize and improve internal and external communication materials
• All other duties as required
