Summary

Join Samsung SDS, the digital arm of the Samsung group, as a Business Development Associate to support growth initiatives in Supplier Relationship Management (SRM). You will be instrumental in driving our new solution, Caidentia, into the North American market. This role blends sales, event planning, and client relationship management to boost revenue and customer satisfaction. Responsibilities include planning and executing events, managing client relationships, and identifying new opportunities. This US-based position offers the flexibility of being 100% remote or office-based in Ridgefield Park, NJ. The ideal candidate possesses strong communication, organizational, and time management skills, along with relevant experience in B2B technology sales or event planning.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field
  • 3+ years of experience in B2B technology sales, event planning, or client relationship management
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships at all levels
  • Experience planning and executing successful in-person and virtual events
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software
  • Self-motivated and results-driven, with excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines
  • A desire to learn and grow in the sales field
  • Must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S
  • Able to business travel up to 10%
  • Flexible schedule to accommodate occasional evening meetings, calls, and participation in demonstrations as needed

Responsibilities

  • Identify and qualify potential customers and partners to drive revenue growth
  • Maintain and develop relationships with existing clients to ensure ongoing satisfaction and identify upsell opportunities
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and execute strategic sales plans
  • Develop detailed event plans, timelines, and schedules to ensure efficient logistics
  • Research, select, and negotiate with vendors, venues, and service providers within budget
  • Oversee logistics, including vendor management, venue selection, catering, AV setups, registrations, and booth design and construction, aligned with deadlines and budgets
  • Execute events flawlessly, both in-person and virtually
  • Act as the primary point of contact for existing clients, building strong relationships and providing exceptional service
  • Proactively identify and address client needs, ensuring client satisfaction and retention
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement account plans to grow revenue from existing clients
  • Manage event budgets, invoicing, and financial accountability
  • Handle multiple projects simultaneously with structured plans and timelines

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in the enterprise software SaaS industry
  • Experience with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) solutions, Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) solution and Supply Chain Management (SCM) solutions preferred
  • Experience with LinkedIn and Salesforce lead gen tools and techniques
  • Knowledge of the manufacturing and/or procurement industry
  • Experience working with international and cross-functional teams
