Summary
Join Autism Speaks as a Business Development Consultant to drive growth for the Workplace Inclusion Now (WIN) program. This part-time (25 hours), one-year temporary position offers a salary up to $75,000 and is preferably remote in Atlanta, Chicago, or Cleveland. The role involves securing new organizational partnerships nationwide by selling WIN's inclusive hiring practices tools and training. You will lead the sales process from prospecting to closing deals, building a strong sales pipeline, and exceeding sales goals. Success requires strong consultative sales skills, experience in a mission-driven environment, and excellent communication. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, detail-oriented, and comfortable with virtual selling.
Requirements
- A strong track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets in a value-driven, consultative environment
- Demonstrated ability to engage mission-minded clients, with a focus on long-term relationship building
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Self-motivated and results-oriented, with the ability to work independently in a remote setting
- Highly organized, with strong follow-up skills and attention to detail
- Experience using sales data and performance metrics to guide strategic decision-making
- Comfort with virtual selling and navigating conversations with diverse stakeholders
- Bachelorβs degree required; advanced degree preferred
- 7β10 years of dedicated sales experience, preferably in a consultative or mission-driven environment
- Deep understanding of consultative sales, particularly in the context of social impact or organizational culture change
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook)
- Must be able and willing to travel (20β30%) for in-person client meetings
Responsibilities
- Generate new business by enrolling companies and organizations into the WIN program
- Lead the entire sales process from prospecting and initial outreach to pitching, negotiating, and closing deals
- Build a strong, mission-aligned sales pipeline by identifying qualified leads through proactive outreach, referrals, and networking
- Communicate the value and impact of WIN services clearly and persuasively to a range of stakeholders
- Tailor proposals and presentations to address the unique needs of prospective partners
- Track performance, managing client data, and forecast sales outcomes using CRM tools
- Consistently achieve or surpass quarterly and annual sales goals
- Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams to align outreach with broader program goals and priorities
- Prioritize efforts across a wide territory through effective time and task management
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience in DEI, disability inclusion, workforce development, or related sectors is highly valued
- Experience with StratusLive or similar CRM systems is a plus
Benefits
Salary range is $60k - $75K depending on candidate's relevant years of experience and geography
