Requirements

  • 5+ years of business development experience in the mortgage, legal, or financial services industry
  • Proven ability to own the sales cycle from prospecting to closing deals
  • Strong discovery, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
  • Track record of exceeding sales targets in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
  • Highly collaborative and coachable with a team-first mindset
  • Ability to work both independently and cross-functionally with client success and leadership teams
  • Willingness to travel for conferences, regional events, and client meetings

Responsibilities

  • Identify, develop, and pursue new business opportunities through referrals, cold calling, networking, and industry events
  • Conduct in-depth market research to uncover trends, competitor activity, and partnership opportunities
  • Generate consistent daily outreach to maintain a robust sales pipeline
  • Travel to key mortgage, banking, and credit union events to expand industry connections
  • Actively engage on industry boards to enhance the firm's visibility and credibility
  • Qualify leads to ensure alignment with the firm's services and target audience
  • Conduct thorough needs analysis to tailor solutions for potential clients
  • Develop and deliver compelling presentations and proposals that showcase key differentiators
  • Negotiate contract terms, ensuring alignment with both client needs and company goals
  • Finalize and execute Service Level Agreements (SLAs) in collaboration with leadership
  • Partner with the Client Success Manager to facilitate smooth onboarding and service integration
  • Maintain ongoing communication with clients to ensure satisfaction and address evolving needs
  • Build long-term relationships to drive retention, referrals, and upsell opportunities
  • Gather client feedback and provide insights to leadership to improve service offerings
  • Execute business development strategies outlined by leadership to achieve revenue targets
  • Stay ahead of industry trends and emerging opportunities to maintain a competitive edge
  • Provide regular reports on sales activity, opportunities, and market feedback
  • Utilize CRM tools such as Salesforce to track sales activities and pipeline progress

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience selling at the C-suite level
  • Familiarity with Salesforce CRM and Microsoft Office 365
  • Bachelor’s degree
