Summary
Join Personalis, a company transforming cancer management through personalized testing, as a Business Development Manager (BDM) focused on growing and managing their business with biotech accounts in the US. This role requires deep expertise in precision oncology, particularly in integrating biomarkers and MRD testing into clinical trials. You will proactively prospect, build relationships with key biotech stakeholders, and support global pharma collaborations. This position involves frequent travel within the US and attendance at national and international conferences.
Requirements
- Biology background and a minimum of 5 years sales or business development experience with genomic products and services
- Good understanding of oncology drug development and clinical trials
- Ability to develop strong relationships ranging from C level executives to scientific directors within an account
- Demonstrated ability to lead a consultative selling process with biotech companies
- Proven track record in strategic selling, negotiation, and key account management
- Strong cross-functional collaboration skills to achieve individual and team goals
- Strong computer literacy with current technology and software (standard office/document programs, internet capabilities, Salesforce.com experience, etc.)
- Willingness to learn and work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences
- Valid US driver’s license required
Responsibilities
- Develop a detailed knowledge of the US oncology biotech client base, with an understanding of the potential to promote our suite of NGS services in particular, NeXT Personal MRD
- Act as a primary contact for in bound inquiries from biotech companies, and manage proposal generation, contracting and account management for biotech accounts
- Proactively prospect into key biotech accounts, to study their drug development pipeline, identify Need and engage key decision-makers
- Work with cross-functional teams to develop revenue generating opportunities, and to track and performance against objectives, adapting plans to ensure revenue targets are met
- Develop and implement comprehensive account and business plans for the territory, aligning with broader global biopharma team objectives
