Join Mixlab, a rapidly growing veterinary compounding pharmacy, as a Business Development Representative and contribute to our expansion into the equine market. You will focus on outbound sales development, contacting veterinary clinics to introduce our services, qualify leads, and schedule meetings. Responsibilities include generating leads through cold calling and emailing, maintaining a high call volume, conducting follow-up calls, scheduling meetings, handling inquiries, and supporting the sales team with administrative tasks. Success in this role requires customer-facing experience, phone/prospecting experience, strong communication skills, and the ability to build rapport. Requirements
- Minimum 6 months of customer-facing experience
- Minimum 3 months of phone/prospecting experience
- Desire for continuous learning in the field of sales
- Ability to quickly learn the tools and skills necessary to succeed in the Business Development Representative role
- Experience using standard office technology of various types in personal or professional life, and comfort in doing so in a remote environment
- Ability to build rapport and make connections with all types of personalities over the phone
- Naturally competitive in nature, while still being a team player
- Willingness to implement and provide feedback
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
Responsibilities
- Generate new leads through outbound cold calling and emailing
- Maintain a high call volume of 30+ calls and emails per day to veterinary practices, introducing our pharmacy services and qualifying potential clients
- Conduct timely follow-up calls to nurture leads and move them through the sales pipeline
- Schedule meetings and product demos for our Territory Managers
- Handle inbound inquiries via email from prospective or current clients
- Leverage our tech systems, such as HubSpot and internal reporting, to note and maintain accurate records and lead notes properly
- Become an expert on our products and services to effectively demonstrate our value proposition
- Perform additional duties and tasks deemed appropriate for the position by the supervisor (admin & sales team support, such as data entry)
- Work closely with sales and marketing to share feedback, trends and help improve strategies
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience or exposure to the Equine Industry preferred
- A passion for veterinary medicine, particularly equine, is a big plus!
