Summary
Join PolicyMe, a modernizing insurance company, as a Business Development Representative! You will nurture inbound leads, convert them into sales opportunities, and engage with prospective clients interested in our insurance solutions. This role involves qualifying leads, scheduling meetings for the advisor team, and contributing directly to PolicyMeโs revenue growth. You will help define and build the business development function from the ground up, shaping lead conversion, outreach, and engagement strategies. This is a remote-first position offering the opportunity to test new ideas, collaborate cross-functionally, and make a lasting impact. The ideal candidate is highly motivated, possesses excellent communication skills, and has a passion for the insurance industry.
Requirements
- 1-3 years of experience in sales, business development, or a similar role (preferably in the insurance or financial services industry)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience handling inbound leads and qualifying potential clients
- Proficiency with CRM software (HubSpot) and lead management tools
- Self-motivated with a results-driven mindset
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with a willingness to adapt and pivot as strategies evolve
Responsibilities
- Engage with inbound leads through phone calls, emails, and online chat to understand their needs and determine fit
- Qualify leads and schedule meetings or calls for advisors
- Provide potential clients with information on our insurance products and services, ensuring a smooth handoff to the advisor team
- Maintain and update CRM records with detailed notes on interactions and deal progress
- Work closely with the Advisor and Operations teams to optimize lead nurturing strategies and conversion processes
- Meet or exceed monthly conversion and engagement targets
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends and competitive offerings
- Represent PolicyMe in a professional and client-centric manner
- Analyze lead data to identify trends and suggest improvements to outreach strategies
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelorโs degree in business, marketing, or a related field preferred but not required
